The Dutch search engine http://ixquick.com/ won the first "EuroPriSe - the European Privacy Seal for IT Products and IT-Based Services".

This award was introduced to the 30th anniversary of the German "Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein".

There is no more to say about Joseph Weizenbaum († 05/03/2008). Unfortunately I never have had the possibility to meet him in person, but I have to call attention to the independent documentation about him:
